Developing the Capacity of sport organisations to safeguard the Rights of Children in Sport

The Project

Welcome to CRC Sport: Developing the Capacity of Sports Organisations to Safeguard the Rights of Children in Sport.

CRC Sport stands at the forefront of a transformative movement within the European sports community. Our mission is clear: to empower sports organisations to uphold the fundamental rights of children participating in sports activities.

Aligned with the European Union's directives and recommendations, CRC Sport embarks on a pioneering journey to protect the integrity, values, and dignity of young and children. Our project is rooted in the belief that sports organisations bear a profound responsibility in shaping the future of our youth.

Through a collaborative approach, CRC Sport addresses three convergent lines of action:

  • Optimising Sports Activity Delivery
  • Promoting Rights-Based Organisational Approaches
  • Enhancing Skills and Knowledge

By understanding the potential of sports organisations and examining their delivery of sports activities, we aim to establish a safer and more inclusive sport system. Through a collaborative approach, CRC Sport addresses three convergent lines of action:

Optimising Sports Activity Delivery: We delve into the methodologies and practices through which sports and physical activities are delivered to children, ensuring they can grow, learn, play, and develop with dignity and respect.

Promoting Rights-Based Organisational Approaches: We advocate for a rights-based approach within sports organisations, fostering cultures of inclusivity and respect. Through organisational restructuring and policy implementation, we create safer environments for young athletes.

Enhancing Skills and Knowledge: We invest in the professional development of sports coaches and organisational leaders, equipping them with the tools necessary to champion children's rights effectively.

At CRC Sport, we recognise that safeguarding children's rights in sports is not just a project—it's a movement towards positive change. Join us as we redefine the role of sports organisations and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future for our youth.

Together, let's ensure that every child can thrive and flourish in the world of sports, under the protection of their inherent rights.
